Day 1: Arrival.
On the first day of the safari, your adventure begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Upon landing, you will be met by your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris who will welcome you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing he will transfer you to your first lodge in Arusha or charming town of Karatu which lies close to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, along the way you will be fascinated with the impressive landscapes surrounding the Great Rift Valley. This day of arrival is for resting, enjoying your first African-inspired dinner, and preparing for the exciting days of game viewing ahead.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park.
On the second day of safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast check out from your lodge and transfer to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is often overshowed but provides one of the most stunning opening acts to any Tanzania safari. The park is characterised by its magnificent Baobab trees, which dot the landscape and crate a timeless, artistic backdrop. Tarangire is most famous for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in all of Africa, especially during the dry season when they congregate around the life-giving Tarangire River. You will spend the full day on a game drive, tracking lions, various antelopes and watching giraffes browse among the baobabs. Later you will be tendered to your lodge next to the park for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3&4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.
On the third and fourth days of the safari are dedicated to the undisputed to the wonderful attraction of African safari; that is Serengeti National Park. After the game drive from Tarangire, you will enter the park, where you game drive immediately begins as you traverse the endless plains. Your accommodations will be located in the central Seronera Valley, that is famous for its year-round density of predators, including the big cats, lions, leopards, and cheetahs due to the presence of permanent water sources. Day four is a full day exploration in Serengeti National Park.
Depending on the season, you may witness the drama of the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the grasslands. The goal here is to increase your chances of seeing thrilling predator prey interactions and experiencing the true size of the African wilderness. You will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On the fifth day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide for your journey to Ngorongoro, as you descend 600 meters (2000 feet) into the breathtaking Ngorongoro crater, is a UNESCO Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Because wildlife is contained within the crater walls, this compact area offers arguably the highest concentration of animals anywhere in Africa.
The crater floor is a permanent ecosystem, where you stand the best chance of spotting the endangered Black Rhino, as well as vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and large numbers of hippos and flamingos in the soda lake. After a morning game drive and a picnic lunch inside the caldera, you will ascend the crater wall and begin the rive back to Karatu or Arusha area for your final evening.
Day 6: Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast overlooking the African landscape. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for the brief visit to a local cultural centre of a curio shop. You will then be transferred by your guide to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight, carrying memories of the spectacular wildlife and landscapes of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit.
