Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your safari begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha by your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris, he will welcome you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park that is famous for its dramatic location at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. After arriving, you will transfer to your lodge with the beautiful sightings. And check in your lodge, after checking into your lodge you will enjoy lunch and go for afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara is known for its tree-climbing lions (though sightings can be by luck) you will spot the large troops of olive baboons, various bird species like the flamingos on the alkaline lake shore during the wet season. Later you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2&3: Transfer to Serengeti national park.
On the second day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After early breakfast, you will drive across the Ngorongoro conservation area highlands and then descend into the vast, wonderful Serengeti national park the ‘’Land of endless plains.’’ The drive itself is an exciting game viewing opportunity. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in the central Seronera region during lunch time. The afternoon of Day is spent on a thrilling game drive, while looking for the animal species like lions, cheetahs, leopards and then depending on the season, the massive herds of the Great Migration. Day 3 is dedicated entirely to a full- game drive in Serengeti. You will explore the various habitats, including the famous kopjes (granite outcrops) favoured by the lions, increasing your chances of spotting the Big five and then experiencing the drama of predator-prey interaction. After the experience you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4&5: Ngorongoro crater experience.
On the fourth day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and then prepare for your journey back toward Ngorongoro conservation area. As you exist from your lodge you will have the fascinating views of the landscape and sighting the early risers of the park. Along the way you will have the en-route experience and you may stop at the Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site known as the ‘’Cradle of Mankind.’’ You will then ascend to the lodge located on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater offering breathtaking views. Day 5 is a highlight with an early descent (around 6:00am) onto the crater floor. This massive, unbroken volcanic caldera acts as a natural enclosure for an incredibly dense concentration of the wildlife, including the rare Black Rhino. You will spend a full morning exploring this natural wonder, aiming to complete the Big five before enjoying a picnic lunch on the crater floor and ascending back to the rim in the afternoon. After the safari you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 6: Culture experience and Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you may have to opt to visit a local Maasai village to learn about their unique culture and nomadic way of life before driving back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO or Arusha Airport ARK) for your departure that brings your safari to the end.
