Day 1: Arrival and scenic ascent to the crater highlands.
On the first day of the safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you up early in the morning in Arusha, the perfect base camp for Tanzania’s northern safaris. This takes you approximately three-hour drive that takes you out of the city up into the cool, lush Ngorongoro Highlands. The drive is incredibly scenic, passing through the fertile farmlands of Karatu region and providing majestic Great Rift Valley wall.
Once you arrive you will check into your lodge near the crater rim that offers you panoramic views of the caldera below, then you will check in and enjoy lunch. And then spent the afternoon relaxing. Later you will be served with dinner, and relaxation at your lodge.
Day 2: Ngorongoro crater descent and wildlife spectacle.
On the second day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then begin your early morning descent into the Ngorongoro crater. This immense, unbroken volcanic caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site acts as colossal a natural sanctuary for an astonishing concentration of wildlife often affectionately called the ‘’Eighth wonder of the world,’’ the crater’s diverse habitats including short grass plains, the alkaline Lake Magadi, and Gorigor swamp sustain a massive population of over 25,000 animals. And after check out and begin driving back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) that will make your safari come to the end.
